Today, as I made my Golden Harvest smoothie and took that first sip, I found myself reflecting on how lucky I was to stumble across Frozen Garden about seven years ago. I’ve probably had thousands of their smoothies at this point, and the reasons are simple: they’re healthy, they taste amazing, and they come from a genuinely good company owned by regular people who care about their customers and their products. I love their manifesto: “Healthy eating shouldn’t be a full-time job. And it definitely shouldn’t taste like cardboard.” Couldn’t agree more.
I’m a physician, so I live in the world of health and wellbeing every day — for my patients and for myself. Just the other day I had a patient struggling with poor appetite from necessary medications. She didn’t have the energy or willpower to chew through each meal, and nothing tasted good. I ended up telling her about Frozen Garden. I said, “It’s easy, you can drink it, and it tastes great.” When I checked back later, she had already ordered a sample pack. I’ve recommended Frozen Garden to dozens of patients over the years — people wanting to eat healthier, lower their blood pressure, lose weight, simplify their life, and do it all with real, wholesome food. I remember when Frozen Garden released their overnight oats. They sent me samples to test. So now there’s this full lineup that lets you eat healthy, avoid the grocery store, and feel genuinely satisfied. I still cheat on weekends. 😊
There are plenty of “smoothie” companies out there, and I tried most of them before finding Frozen Garden. The words that came to mind with the others were: bland, too thick, nothing organic, expensive, no variety, and honestly, a lack of real food culture. It’s been great watching Frozen Garden grow, expand their variety, and stay true to their mission. Let’s just say I eventually had to buy a deep freezer to support my obsession.

I add protein powder and a little peanut butter to my smoothies, something sweet to the overnight oats, and chicken or fish to the grain bowls.
